Easy IO FG32 is the Sedona based Building Automation Controller, it is Internet based and programmable using Tridium AX Framework or free CPT Tools from EasyIO.

FG32 has 32 I/O points and two RS-485 communication ports, one port is used for the BacNet MS/TP and second port for Modbus RTU.
Modbus port is used to communicate with Pi-Cubes Communication Thermostat using a RJ45 adapter.

Pi -Cubes communication Thermostat needs external 12VDC Power Supply , in this case we used Universal Output on the FG32 to power it up,

Pi-Cubes Communication Thermostat is simple solution to add room thermostat to Easy IO FG series of the controllers, there is possibility to add up to four thermostats on one Modbus RTU trunk, for purpose of testing we used Universal Outputs that is capable to source up to 20mA on 10VDC , that is more that enough to power up one Pi-Cubes Communication Thermostat, for use in production environment we suggest to use dedicated 12VDC power supply.
